What V‑Ray won’t give you without hours of tweaking

V-Ray is superb with light, but getting an image that reads as a photograph takes time: tuned materials, good vegetation proxies, lots of samples and post-production. CoconutFlow does that last stretch on the finished render.

Materials that look “CG”

Wood, stone, fabrics and metals gain texture, nuance and believable reflections, without touching the material in your scene.

Flat vegetation

Trees, grass and climbers stop looking like pasted cut-outs and gain volume and variety.

Light without nuance

Daylight and artificial light blend as they would in a photo: softer shadows, colour bounce and more natural contrast.

Noise and low resolution

A quick render, with few samples or at low resolution, comes out clean and can be upscaled to 10,240 px on the long side.

Render less, deliver more

Use CoconutFlow as the last step of your V-Ray workflow and win back hours of machine time on every view.

  • Lower resolutionRender at 1,500 or 2,000 px and deliver at 4K, 8K or 10K with the upscaler.
  • Fewer samplesDrop the quality for tests and interim deliveries: CoconutFlow adds the finish.
  • Less post-productionNo hours in Photoshop making vegetation, textures and light look real.

How to use it with V‑Ray

Whether you run V-Ray in 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Cinema 4D or Maya, CoconutFlow works on the exported image. No plugins, nothing to install.

  1. Export from the V-Ray Frame BufferAs JPG or PNG, with your colour corrections already applied.
  2. Upload it and pick mode and sizeDrag in one or several renders. You see the cost before processing.
  3. Compare and downloadCheck it with the before-and-after slider, zoom to the pixel and download.

Which mode to use with a V‑Ray render

You choose the mode for each image and can reprocess it with another. Only need more resolution? See the AI render upscaler.

  • UpscaleTo enlarge a render that’s already right. Only resolution and sharpness change.
  • BalancedFor client deliveries. Improves light, materials and textures without changing the design.
  • CreativeFor portfolio and social media. The most photographic finish; may reinterpret a small detail.

What studios say

Archviz studios and manufacturers already use it on client projects.

“We’ve been making high-end renders for years, but CoconutFlow gives them that final push that makes the difference. From a 7 to a 10, it’s that simple.”

“When the furniture is yours and the image has to sell, you can’t afford a mediocre render. CoconutFlow gives us the finish that makes the client say: I want it.”

“Honestly, I didn’t expect the difference to be so big. You upload the render and that’s it, the result is on another level.”

«We sell wall and floor coverings, so clients need to see the real texture before they decide. With CoconutFlow the renders stop looking like renders — you can see the actual material, and that closes visits on the spot.»

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a V-Ray plugin?

No. CoconutFlow runs in the browser with the image you export from the V-Ray Frame Buffer. Nothing to install and nothing to change in your scene.

Does it work with any V-Ray version?

Yes. Because it works on the final image, the V-Ray version and host don’t matter: 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Cinema 4D or Maya.

Will it change my design?

Walls, volumes, furniture and framing stay as they are. Upscale only touches resolution, Balanced respects materials and Creative may reinterpret a small detail.

Can I render at lower quality?

Yes. A render with fewer samples or at lower resolution comes out clean and can be upscaled to 10K. For final deliveries, we suggest testing one view first.

Which format should I export?

8-bit JPG or PNG with your colour correction applied. WEBP, TIFF and AVIF are accepted too.

How long does it take?

Usually a couple of minutes per image, in the background while you keep working.

Is it free?

You get one free 4K image every day, up to 8 a month. After that you pay per image with Coconut packs or a subscription.

Are my renders private?

Yes. They’re processed on our own platform and never sent to external AI services. They’re not used to train models.
